#BlkGirlBigWorldSips

I LOVE wine.  I enjoy tastings and pairings. I take trips to visit vineyards and estates. I indulge in the expensive stuff from time to time, but normally I get down with a reasonably priced bottle or two. Really, I appreciate the conversation and community that comes with a good bottle of wine shared amongst friends.  More than wine I LOVE being Black and supporting Black businesses.

Marry the two and you get #BlkGirlBigWorldSips - a wine club created to explore wines owned, produced, and made in partnership with Black people. Click the button below to join the community and keep scrolling to check out my thoughts.

2018 Three By Wade Rosé

By: D Wade Cellars

Close your eyes and imagine the perfect summer day spent drinking by the pool, listening to Drake, surrounded by friends. That’s where Three by Wade Rosé takes me. It’s so smooth, almost like water, that I have could easily drink several bottles while relaxing in the sun without thinking twice about it.

O.P.P. Pinot Gris

By: Maison Noir Wines

“Can I kick it? (Yes, you can.)” As I crack open this bottle, A Tribe Called Quest plays in my mind. Light with hints of sweet melon and a wet (not wap but close to it) finish. Paired perfectly with a picnic near the waterfront on a warm spring day. Grab your crew and leave your worries behind.

2018 Cabernet Sauvignon

By: Wandering Wine

Pepper, spice, and everything nice. Wandering Wines 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is everything a girl could ask for. The finish is just dry enough. While it will pair well with a steak, I’ll take a few glasses on a Friday evening as I unwind on the couch watching reruns of Living Single.

2019 Sauvignon Blanc

By: McBride Sisters

Excuse me, I’m grown! Sometimes I have to remind myself, but after a day of adulting there is no question and this is my reward. While on the dryer side I get hints of honey and lemon. No matter what they say adulting is ghetto and you deserve an award for getting it done.

2019 French Sparkling Rosé

By: LVE: Legend Vineyard Exclusive

Put the juice away! This is not the champagne for your mimosa. LVE French Sparkling Rosé is light, crisp, fruit-forward. Pop this for brunch, celebrations, or just a random Tuesday because let’s admit it -- we’re just ordinary people.

Snoop Cali Red

When the pimps in the crib ma… Nah but really this red blend is a little bit of everything that makes you chair dance. Chocolatey with cranberries, not too dry but not too sweet either. It’s a good bottle to have on hand for a quick glass.

2018 Chardonnay

By: House of Brown

Friends, I broke up with Chardonnay a long time ago.  Like all of my ex’s I don’t even look her way. But this Chardonnay by House of Brown is different.  It made me want to give that old thing another chance.  It’s not heavy or buttery like your typical Chardonnay.  There is just the right amount of everything. Go ahead and hit this bottle with the “hey stranger”, no judgment.

La Fete du Rose.png

La Féte du Rosé

By: La Féte

Le Fete du Rose reminds me of when my youngest sister is on drink duty. You’re going to taste the booze. While this rose was a tab bit too alcohol-forward for my liking it has a pleasant aroma. Slightly bitter with hints of citrus, you’ll feel fancy telling everyone it’s from Saint-Tropez
